Llanrumney Hall. This is a most unlikely sight in the middle of the Llanrumney estate. I noticed it a few years ago but did not bother to look further. However, two people have mentioned it to me in the last few weeks so I thought I should go and investigate. It was originally an Elizabethan mansion built in 1450, it was rebuilt in 1852 and refurbished around 1900. It has been a stately home and, more recently, a remand centre, a pub and, now, a multi-purpose community hub. |
